Activity has more than one definition
An account may publish original Posts, reply to other people, repost someone else’s work, or use features that are not represented by a simple “latest public Post” field. A tool should clearly say what evidence it used rather than presenting an unexplained number.
Follow Checker’s current measurement
The scanner asks X for the most recent Post identifier supplied with each followed profile. X documents that its Snowflake identifiers encode an object-creation timestamp. Follow Checker derives an approximate date from that identifier without requesting or storing the Post’s text.
This reduces data collection and avoids a separate paid Post lookup for every followed account. The interface labels the result as approximate. Read the exact boundaries in the product methodology.
How to interpret common cases

Why the tool does not assign an “inactive score”
A single score would hide subjective assumptions about frequency, account type, replies, and value. Follow Checker instead exposes the approximate date and lets the user select a transparent cutoff.
The humane rule
Inactivity is a filter for your attention—not a verdict about another person. People step away for work, health, family, safety, or simply because they have nothing useful to post. Use the result to organize your own feed without turning absence into a negative label.
